Day 7 was the third sea day and last day of our cruise. We enjoyed our last breakfast from room service which we had done every day of the cruise. This is one of our favorite concierge perks – ordering breakfast from the main dining rooms- and we definitely take advantage of it! We have never done it for lunch or dinner, but we do it for breakfast EVERY morning. It wasn’t until the last morning that I remembered to take a picture of it:
My husband thought it would be funny to take an “after” picture:
The same man named Martin brought us our breakfast every day and then returned to take the dishes. He was so, so sweet and even tried to refuse a tip one day when he was 10 minutes late (I made him take it anyway). We tipped him very well on this last morning because he was so kind.
After breakfast I went down to Shutters to make my photo selections. This is the first cruise that I have not bought a photo CD (either the unlimited or choose 10 options). Honestly, we didn’t take a lot of Shutters photos on this cruise. We didn’t meet very many characters or take the staged ones in the atrium in the evenings. I ended up buying 3 printed photos: the family in front of the tree, the girls with Rapunzel and the girls with pirate Goofy. I am so glad that they have updated Shutters on the Wonder to match the other ships:
I know that for the next several hours I did some packing and I can’t remember what the others did. I do know that at some point during the day these appeared in our room:
If you want to read more than you ever wanted to know about the entire debarkation process, you can do that here. This post is specifically about Port Canaveral, but the process is practically identical in Galveston.
We ate a quick lunch up on the pool deck:
And at some point ran into Belle:
We also stopped by the Oceaneer’s Club to turn in the wrist bands so that we would get our $12.95 per band refunded (except for the one that we lost in Grand Cayman and is somewhere on the bottom of the Caribbean Sea). They give you this as a receipt:
I can’t remember if it was this day or not, but I do want to mention that at some point we stopped by the Future Cruise Sales desk and put down a $250 placeholder deposit. This literally took about 2 minutes since you don’t have to choose a sail date, room etc, and I highly recommend doing it. You can read all about the details and benefits of an onboard booking here.
The next thing we did was attend a towel folding class in Studio Sea at 2:15. I personally love the towel animals (you can read my post about it here), so I was really excited for this. It ended up being a really fun event for the whole family. We separated into 2 groups – me with our oldest and my husband with our youngest. Our middle daughter went back and forth and judged us, deciding who did which animal better. Here we are ready to begin:
They were nice and gave us printed instructions:
There was also someone at the front demonstrating and giving instructions, as well as people walking around offering help if needed. They had some samples set up at the front:
First we did the swan:
Here is the body of our dog:
And our final product:
Next we did the “lazy” elephant:
And finally the monkey. Here is the body:
And the whole thing:
Overall this was a really fun event and I highly recommend going if you get the chance.
When we got back to the room, we noticed that last night’s towel animal looked a lot like Stitch:
And we also found these:
Our concierge host Joanne had brought by arcade cards for the girls, so we went to use them:
The arcade is small, but fun for a short amount of time.
Earlier in the day this was also delivered to our room:
Before we knew it, it was time to go down to the talent show rehearsal. We got to Wavebands and the final jackpot bingo was just finishing up. My husband was watching from the door and said he saw someone win over $6000. Lucky. When the reshearsal started, I was surprised that only 3 people showed up – us, a teenage girl who sang and a tween aged boy who played the keyboard. I think that DCL should have done a better job of publicizing this event. Other than Joanne telling us about it, I never saw anything in the navigator except for the rehearsal and show on the time schedule sheet which I personally wouldn’t have noticed. I think a lot more people would have participated had it been advertised better.
All 3 kids ran through their performances and then it was time to head to Animator’s Palate for our final dinner. I love the little farewell party that they do on the Magic and Wonder:
We said goodbye to our waiters for the last time (we never go to the main dining rooms the last morning) and headed back to Wavebands for the talent show at 7:30. I was surprised at how many people came to watch – the place seemed pretty full! My daughter did a great job and after the show, John Charles himself (from the main show in the theater the night before) came up to her and told her she did a great job. She was star struck! Here is her performance. It starts a little slow but really picks up towards the end:
After the show, all of the participants received a certificate:
Next it was time to get to the Walt Disney Theater for the show which was Dreams: An Enchanted Classic and one of our favorites. We had been looking forward to this all week.
The show was amazing as usual, and then it was time to get back to the room and get the suitcases in the hallway before 10:00. When we got there we found these:
We also found the customer satisfaction survey:
You are supposed to fill this out and drop it in one of the appropriate boxes on the way off the ship the next morning.
We got our suitcases in the hallway and saw our room host Neil, who earlier in the day had knocked on the door to personally thank us for the tip we had left for him (we had put some extra cash in there because he was superb). I thought it was so kind of him to actually seek us out to thank us in person.
At this point, 3 of us went to bed while the other 2 of us were staying up for one final round of family karaoke and in the meantime watched the ‘Til We Meet Again: A Merry Farewell party in the atrium at 10:00. Here is what parts of it looked like from a not-so-great viewing spot:
After the party we went into Studio Sea for the last night of karaoke and it was so crowded. I guess everyone wanted to get one last song in. We got ours done and then went back to the room to crash.
The next morning we woke up already docked in Galveston and did the sad, sad process of leaving the ship. Before we knew it we were in the car heading home and back to reality.

Wow! Your daughter did a great job! Perhaps we will one day be watching her perform at one of the dinner theaters on the ship. She has such a great voice!
Disney Cruise Mom says
Thank you Michelle! She has taken voice lessons for years and just loves to sing and perform. She asks daily how she can become famous and sing on the radio and TV and have her own concerts 🙂

Thanks for the review of your cruise. I love reading them. Last week, we were on the Wonder too, and had Joann at our concierge host. OH, she was just wonderful!
You room service breakfast looks so good, and what a great idea. My husband and I talked about doing this, but we never did. So sad, but I guess we need to cruise again, concierge.
One thing I found interesting on the last day. Our stateroom host, Lorenzo was very interested in our customer satisfaction survey. I knew we just put them in the box upon leaving the ship morning of disembarkation, but Lorenzo wanted us to give it to him. He said, he would turn it in for us. He came to our room several times the night before asking for it. I told him, we hadn’t completed it yet, but will. Well, we put it in the box upon exiting the ship. Has this ever happened to you? Just curious.
Disney Cruise Mom says
Hmmm….that has never happened to us and I have never heard of a room host doing that before. My immediate thoughts are that 1) he just wanted to make sure that it was turned in. Twice now I have filled out the form and with all of the chaos of leaving the ship, have forgotten to drop it in the box only to find it in my bag later that day. Or, 2) he didn’t have such good intentions and wanted to add his name to the “exceptional crew member” section if you hadn’t already done that. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it was the first situation. Maybe someone else can chime in and let us know if this has also happened to them?

Do still offer hot breakfast( sausage scramble eggs beacon and hash brown) for concierge guests on Disney Magic cruise ship.

Before covid, this was available in certain concierge rooms – only the one bedroom suites, two bedroom suites, and royal suites. It was not available in the concierge family staterooms. However, I do not know if they are currently doing this as I have not ready any post-covid reports that mention it.
