It was November of 2016, when Jason, Sarah, and their two young children participated in their first Disney Fish Extender gift exchange while sailing with Disney Cruise Line. In a group with other families, the Flannery‘s began putting together small, creative gifts for each member in the group. Once on the ship, they visited each families’ stateroom and left the gifts in the fish extender outside the door. Likewise, they were left gifts at their stateroom from the other families throughout the week. The excitement brought about by these simple, little surprises made an already amazing Disney cruise even more magical!
Inspired by the experience, Jason set out to create a unique, first of it’s kind website fully dedicated to helping families get connected with a Disney Fish Extender (DFE) group.
Nearly 4 years in the making, www.disneyfishextenders.com is here. Families now have access to everything from group registration to gift ideas, from DIY projects to downloadable kid activities and so much more. Having already launched phases one and two of the site, the DFE crew is currently working on phase 3 with a 4 and 5 on the horizon. As the site expands, DFE Community Members can look forward to new content such as the DFE Marketplace and DIY video tutorials. Their mission is simple; “Build Community. Create Memories. Share the Magic.”
They have been called Disney Cruise Line’s best kept secret and they are looking forward to helping your family on your next Disney Cruise Line adventure!

We loved participating in our Fish Extenders groups! What a great idea!
We are sailing, again, June 6th, 2021 on the Fantasy to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay. We can’t wait. We hope and pray that everything will be back to normal.
Booked to cruise the Panama Canal in November. Hoping that will happen! If not, we’ll try for that same cruise next year or Europe.
My husband and I have a cruise booked for October 2020. Hopefully we get to sail since our Hawaii cruise was canceled.
We were getting closer and closer to booking our next Disney cruise, but were trying to work out the logistics of the family coordinating vacation time, but then Corona happened. We haven’t given up. If anything, we are more determined than ever to go on a big vacation after all of the sitting at home we have done. We are just waiting to see when the safest time will be to book it.
Looking forward to our November cruise provided it doesn’t get canceled.
We are wanting to go on an Alaskan Disney cruise! We are saving up!
I am hoping to sail on the Didn’t Wonder out of San Diego after exploring Disneyland. It would be our first time in California!

Really looking forward to a future cruise. We have one scheduled for December but we’ll have to wait and see, being over 65 we have to put our health over our enjoyment. We have fingers crossed for a Northern Europe cruise in August, but realistically we are planning on the Wonder in San Diego for spring break 2021!
What a cool giveaway! We love Disney cruising and were supposed to be on the 10 day Hawaiian the end of April. Sadly got cancelled due to Covid. We were planning to do our first FE group. 😞 Hopefully we will be able to cruise again soon!🚢

We’ve got a 5 night Bahamas on the Magic for March 2021 and 10 night Northern Europe for August 2021! About to cancel our Dream Grand slam for August 2020 🙁 and I think our Wonder HOTHS for mid October will be on the chopping block, too 🙁 I MISS DCL!!!!
Very fun. We are going on our first Disney Cruise next summer. We weren’t planning on participating in the fish extender exchange, but this may have changed my mind. 🙂
