Hello everyone! These past 2 months have been trying, difficult, and emotional for many of us. I know that many people were not thinking about travel or cruising (and still may not be), so I took a little break from blogging. But, I am reading to slowly start getting back to normal (or at least try to) and I thought what a better way to return to blogging than with a giveaway!
I am hosting today’s giveaway, which is a Mickey Coach coin purse!
It measures about 4″ x 5″ and is so cute!
To enter the giveaway, use the Rafflecopter below. Entries will be accepted until midnight (EST) Sunday night May 17, and the winner will be announced on Monday morning, May 18. There are two opportunities to enter: once by visiting my Facebook page (and hopefully liking it!), and once by leaving an optional blog comment. You can click on “I commented” to enter the giveaway whether you comment or not, but I love hearing from you so feel free to leave a comment if you have the time! I thought it would be nice if people left comments about positive things that have happened to them during the Covid crisis. I have found that positivity has helped me immensely during these past 2 months!
Good luck!

A positive thing about staying home during the Covid19 crisis is that my family and I have dinners together and we laugh and have fun even after getting on each other’s nerves all day.

A positive thing about staying home during Covid19 quarantine is that we are cooking at home more and as a family.

This is adorable!!!! I can’t wait to get back to Disney! I even looked at how much it would be to fly to Shanghai!
Michelle says
It is great to see you pop up again, especially when the cruise industry has basically ground to a halt. I have to say that being homeschoolers has really saved us this year. We have had very little interruption in our daily life as a result. We have everything we need to continue schooling through next year, which makes me so very thankful that we don’t have to struggle with online school options.
Thanks so much for hosting another giveaway! Stay safe and healthy! I wish your family all the best.
Laura Bryant says
We are sad that our Alaska cruise would be leaving on Monday but hopeful that we will be on our November cruise. Thankful for our health and the blessing of being a homeschool family this year especially. Take care!

I found your blog right at the beginning of quarantine and I must say it was truly a gift! Reading your trip reports made me feel like I was truly on vacation! I started with the Panama Canal because I’d been making the case to my husband that we should really try to go this year since the day of sailing is on my birthday. Anyway, after that I read the Canada was and I wasn’t prepared for how grown up your girls had gotten in like a few days. Ha! So anyway, thanks for this blog and believe me when I say it truly helped me on some down days!
Allison Hunter says
I love your blog! I’ve been following you since my first cruise with my girl friends in 2014! Your blog is my favorite thing to read during night time dressing with my 2month old!

Our older boys are young adults. One was at college and one was in Africa in missions. They both came home early. It wasn’t the plan (sound familiar 😉 ) but it has been good to have solid family time that we didn’t expect. They will both fly from the nest very soon and I know we will remember this time. 🙂
Amanda McHan says
You are so awesome to do this! Blessings to you and your fam!!

The most positive thing that has happened during the Coronavirus is more time with my kids and husband. Another positive thing is that, although it was heartbreaking to need to cancel our first Disney Cruise, that we are fortunate enough to be able to reschedule for next summer. It is such a blessing to have that to look forward to.
Amanda says
One positive thing is that we are learning to love homeschool life and might stick with it!
Leigh says
Quarantine has been good for us as a family…spending more quality time together and life has really slowed down. Also, I really enjoy working from home and being able to get dinner cooked at a decent time…not spending 1.5 hours driving to/from work each day really gives you back some time..
Jessica Kern says
Our positive: we were at Disney the last week it was open! We go almost yearly, but we were traveling with some good friends who had saved up for two years for their bucket list trip. I will be forever grateful that we got to go!

I have gotten a lot of studying done.

I now take all of our family time and time with friends less for granted—even if it’s an effort now to make it happen.

My daughter had a birthday, and our church had a birthday oarade for her. She was so excited! Our children said it was the best day ever. 🙂

We just moved from Oregon to Idaho and arrived a week before the shut down, so we have not had a chance to meet any friends yet. Several of the neighbors have dropped off sweet little surprises and notes for us and the kiddos next door to us decorated the end of our driveway with some welcome to the neighborhood drawings in chalk. That really perked me up as I have really been missing my friends from Oregon. It’s nice to know that when this shut down is over, we will have some fun with our new neighbors.
Lauren says
We’ve rediscovered our love of cooking together as a family! Our garden is also thriving.
Abby says
Disney cruising has been a common bond between so many people. It has been a social lifeline for me. It’s a joy to hear from another Disney family member.
Debbie Anderson says
One good thing that has happened during this crisis for us has been being able to “visit” so many other Church’s. We have a home church we attend, but would often love to visit other churches in our area. We have been able to not only “attend” our church but virtually visit many many others! I feel like Gods word has been shared more during quarantine than would have been possible otherwise.
Emily says
I always enjoy reading the trip reports and dreaming of our next adventure with Disney. Hope I win this cute purse!!
Allison says
We’ve had some great time to relax!

Sorry you and your family didn’t get to do your big Hawaii trip, along with a whole bunch of other people. My wife and I just managed to squeeze in our Panama Canal cruise out of New Orleans. Even though we only ported in Cozumel and Grand Cayman, then spent the rest of the time on the ship, we had a great time. The crew was just fantastic and the passengers were mostly experienced Disney cruisers and a lot of fun to sail with. It was strange being in a “Disney Bubble” on the Wonder with this pandemic breaking out around the world. Hope this will be over soon and we can get back to our lives and Disney cruising.
Erica says
A positive thing that has happened for me during is that I have got to spend more days at home with my 5 year old daughter. We have enjoyed more time together.

My 12 year old son broke his arm while we’ve been at home and people have gone out of their way to make him feel loved. They’ve dropped off bags of his favorite treats, sent gift cards, and delivered warm cookies. 😊

Spending quality time with my daughter and our two kittens!

This has been a really special time for my family, all things considered. We never have to miss each other, and we’re getting in so much family time together, including home cooked meals.
