One of the many things I love about DCL is how they sometimes surprise us with stateroom gifts. We have been fortunate to have received some really nice ones over the years and I thought I would share them with you. First of all, I want to stress that it is not a given that you will receive a gift on your cruise. Every time that we have received a gift it has been for one of three reasons: 1) because we were sailing concierge 2) because we were Castaway Club members (meaning you have cruised with DCL at least once before) and 3) because we were on an inaugural sailing. So, here are our gifts, in the order that we have received them:
Limited Edition Commemorative Lithograph “Ev’rybody Neat, Packed ‘N’ Pretty?”
On our first sailing, we received this lithograph which was given to all concierge guests. Here it is when we got home, straight out of the envelope:
And here it is today, framed on our wall. I apologize about the reflections in the glass but it would have taken me forever to take them all out of the frames to photograph them:
It came with a letter from our concierge host and a certificate of authenticity:
On our next cruise we actually received four gifts: our first Castaway Club gift, another lithograph that was given to concierge guests, and two gifts that were given to everyone because it was the inaugural sailing of the Wonder from the port of Galveston. First, the Castaway Club gift. It was a nice backpack that you can see on the bed in the picture below:
We use this backpack all of the time and it has held up well over the years.
Next, the concierge lithograph:
Limited Edition Commemorative Lithograph “Gawrsh! My Snack’s Here!”
Here is our concierge host Jonathan presenting us with the lithograph during the cruise. I love this picture because if you look closely, you can see that the details of the stateroom in the lithograph match the details of the stateroom in real life – the couch upholstery, wallpaper, wood paneling, curtains, furniture, etc.
For the inaugural sailing of the Wonder from the port of Galveston, everyone on the sailing also received this smaller lithograph:
Limited Edition Commemorative Lithograph “Minnie Extends a Big Texas How-Dee!”
And yet another inaugural sailing gift:
Disney Cruise Line Commemorative Cheese Board
This gift is my favorite because it is so unique.
The board swivels because there is a rotating platform on the bottom:
And, four of the handles are actually knives that slide out:
On our third cruise in 2014 we received another Castaway Club gift and concierge lithograph. This Castaway Club gift was a canvas bag with rope handles:
We didn’t like this bag as much as the backpack that we had received on our previous cruise. The quality didn’t seem as good and it was a little flimsy. We have actually never used it.
And the lithograph:
Limited Edition Commemorative Lithograph “A Voyage Fit For a Princess”
I have 3 out of 4 of our large concierge lithographs framed and hanging on the same wall:
On our next 2 cruises in 2014 & 2015 we received modified versions of the Silver Castaway Club bag above that looks like this:
I think that this bag is much improved over the previous version and we did use it several times.
Then on our next cruise in November 2015, we finally achieved GOLD status and received a gold version of the bag, plus a photo album:
We were concierge on this cruise so we also received another lithograph:
Limited Edition Commemorative Lithograph “Fairy Tales Do Come True”
On our cruise in October 2016, they had changed the gold bag up a little bit and paired it with a travel mug.
I feel so fortunate to have received some really awesome gifts so far and hopefully one day we will be adding to our collection!

I think the lithographs are my favourite. They make a nice display on your wall, especially the way you have them framed. I’m sure your upcoming cruise will be a welcome reprieve in the midst of your upcoming move.

Yes, the upcoming cruise is such a blessing. Anytime my girls get upset or scared at the thought of moving, I remind them of the cruise and they always cheer up. It really helps to have something to look forward to!
