This review was written by Rachel, who stayed in Cabana 8 twice on her back-to-back cruises on the Disney Magic in March 2022. You can read her entire trip report here.
This was our first time to have a cabana closer to the family beaches. Both of the other times we’ve had a cabana above #10 further down to the “lagoon” side of the family cabanas. In Cabana #8 the views (especially of the ship) are amazing – definitely a plus. Also, we liked being slightly closer to the other activities, food, etc. We were also still close to the cabana bathrooms across from cabana #15. The only downside of this cabana (and others nearby) right now is that the beach is very rocky. It’s very rough to walk out in the water. You pretty much need water shoes for it to be comfortable at all. When you get out a little further, it is less rocky, but walking in and out of the water is painful. As a result, we walked a little further down to the higher numbered cabanas and swam out in the very shallow water down there. We all agreed that we would probably prefer to sacrifice a little bit of the amazing view for softer sand and easier swimming/playing in the water next time.
