Day 6: Disembarking the Disney Wonder
We got up, double checked we had everything and then headed up to the concierge lounge to have breakfast. I love that coffee machine so much. I would love to have one in my house. I imagine it’s pretty pricey though! They had my usb of all our photos for me in the lounge. It was great never having to go to Shutters! When we were ready to leave, we told Ropa and she got her magic key and took us to the elevator. We were able to go straight down to deck 3 without stopping (the elevators get very crowded on the last morning and typically stop at every floor). We found our bags, went through customs and then headed out into the San Juan sunshine.
Our flight didn’t leave until 3:30, so I decided to book a private car with a driver who would give us a tour and then take us to the airport. Disney doesn’t have any port adventures in San Juan on disembarkation day, so I booked this myself through Viator. Our guide, Roberto, picked us up right away. He was really sweet and very informative. We did a driving tour of old San Juan, got out and saw the Castillos, and stopped and had snacks at a local bakery. We had empanadas, pastries, mango smoothies and coffee. It was all amazing!
He then dropped us off at the airport. We changed into warmer clothes because it was much colder back home. Our flight out of San Juan was slightly delayed, which made me nervous because our layover was very short at just 45 minutes. We RAN through the Atlanta airport to get to our gate. It was completely boarded when we got there, but they hadn’t closed the doors yet! We definitely took some risks with our flights on this trip and we got extremely lucky that it all worked out. We got back to Oklahoma and it was very cold. Because of the super short layover, no one had eaten dinner. The kids had plenty of snacks, but everyone was starving, so we ran to Chick-fil-a. We got home and everyone crashed! Our middle son asked the next morning how long our cruise was. I told him it was 5 days. He asked if next time we could go on one that is 7 days. I sure hope so!

Thanks for a great trip report, took me back to our one bed room suite experience on the Magic. You’re right it’s hard to go back to a split bath or even a standard room. Glad you liked the Wonder, so far our favorite ship in the fleet.
