Well I thought I would be back with a brand new post today, but then life happened. We did get back from Las Vegas safe and sound on Wednesday night. Then, we put our house on the market Thursday evening as planned. So, it is only natural that I would wake up this morning to a plumbing leak. That is right, the first day our house is on the market, we have a plumbing problem. I am trying to get a plumber here ASAP while also fielding phone calls from people wanting to look at the house, so needless to say, I will not be writing a new post today. I hope, hope, hope that we can get this issue resolved today but right now it is almost 3:00 and we have not been able to get a plumber out here yet. Hopefully I will be back with a new post Monday. Thank you for understanding!

Oh no! That is never any good! I so feel for you. We have had our house on the market before and then had things come up (like needing to get it re-sided due to a claim) in the midst of things. I hope it is something you can get taken care of quickly. We have usually done the opposite of what you did. We put our house on the market and THEN go on vacation. The house stays clean while the realtor takes over and I hopefully unwind after the stress of getting it ready to go on the market. Are you staying local or moving closer to Cape Canaveral???

We are making a huge move across the country to North Carolina. My husband’s former boss works there and asked him to come work for him and gave him an offer we couldn’t refuse 🙂 It will be so strange to live somewhere other than Texas (hubby & I have lived here our whole lives) but we are looking at it as an adventure. And, since we homeschool, we don’t have the added stress of the girls switching schools which is so nice. Thankfully, all of the house problems on Friday were easily resolved and we are back on track. Hubby moves & starts working in late August and the girls & I will move out there as soon as the house sells. We tried to get the house listed before we went to Vegas, but due to several circumstances, we weren’t able to and had to wait until after the trip. Things are sure to be crazy over the next several months!

Hey! You’ll be moving to my coast! Just nudge a little further north and maybe we can hang out sometime. We have moved all over for my husband’s work…from Canada to California, Illinois, Oregon, and now the east coast. I always love a good move. It helps to clear out stuff and reorganize things, plus the added benefit of getting a new area to explore. Here’s hoping that your home sells quickly. I’m glad the plumbing issue was easily resolved.

Thanks Michelle! I don’t think you’ve ever told me where you live, but I’m guessing the northeast? New England maybe? It’s reassuring to me to hear that you have moved so extensively and enjoyed it. I have never moved more than 2 hours away in my entire life so this is all kind of scary for me! I don’t exactly know how I should feel but I am trying to look at it as an adventure and focus on the positives and not think about the negatives. It really helps me hear about people who have done it and enjoyed it!

Sorry. I didn’t see that you had posted this. I keep forgetting to come back and check for responses!!!
Yes, you are correctly hitting our general area. Moving absolutely is an adventure. You have the right attitude. I love checking out new restaurants, new sights, setting up a new home, and meeting new people. The great thing is that if you give an area a chance and aren’t enjoying it, you can always find a new place to try out!
