Day 8: At Sea
After 2 days in Iceland, we were happy to have a day at sea to relax and rest. Days at sea are always fun for our family as we enjoy all the activities the ship has to offer. We also love sea days because it gives us a chance to sleep in and start our day off in a relaxing manner. We usually eat breakfast at Cabanas, enjoying a delicious and leisurely meal. We tend to enjoy Bingo and game shows and started off our day with those, but one of our favorite things to do on sea days is to attend towel folding class. This is where one of the stateroom hosts teach the guests how to make the amazing towel animals that our left in our rooms every night. It is fun and always a good time – my kids love learning how to make the different animals.
We then spent the afternoon seeing Pete Matthews the juggler who is entertaining and very funny! We played more Bingo (it’s one of our favorite things to do onboard) and then went to enjoy our evening show which was Once Upon a Song. It’s the cast of the Walt Disney Theatre performing Disney music. You really get to see and hear how talented they are – it’s really amazing! It was one of our favorites! Our dinner that night was in Rapunzel’s Royal Table and it was the Lantern Menu. For this night, the entertainment in the restaurant is the celebration of Rapunzel’s birthday and the Lantern Festival. It was full of singing and dancing and appearances by the Snuggly Duckling Thugs and you even get your own lanterns to decorate! Rapunzel makes an appearance and so does Flynn. It was such a fun night! Our waiter even got into the act!
We had a wonderful evening with our family and returned to our room to our amazing towel animal! We went to bed to get a good night rest for our day in Scotland.
