Day 3: At Sea
(you can start this trip report from the beginning by clicking here)
This morning was the only time that I was really bothered by the noise from the laundry room across the hall. Starting at about 6:30, it sounded like some moms and their kids were having a party in there. I drifted in and out of sleep until about 8:00 when I decided to get out of bed. I read until 9:15, when my husband got up and we went up to deck 11 for coffee. We decided to pop into Cabanas again to bring back some food for the girls. The pool was already busy.
We just hung out in the room and watched Aladdin until our reservation for Remy brunch at 11:30. I have reviewed our Remy brunch experience in a separate post, which you can see here. But, I’ll give you a sneak peek:
I’m not sure what the girls did while we were at Remy, but I think they may have done the Midship Detective Agency.
After brunch, we met up with the girls and went to the Walt Disney Theater at 1:45 for a matinee showing of Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular. DCL doesn’t offer matinee shows very often, but I’m glad they did this day as we had other plans this evening (more on that later). We really enjoyed the show! It was our first time to see it since it is unique to the Fantasy.
After the show we walked through the atrium and noticed that the gingerbread house was under construction. It smelled so good!
Then, at least some of us went to Charades in La Piazza at 3:00.
After charades we all went to the room to watch movies from about 3:30-5:00. We ordered a snack from room service. This is the All Hands on Deck cheese platter:
Our plans this evening were a little different than normal. On cruises where the pool is too crowded for our liking during the day, we like to choose one night to skip the main dining room and show and swim when the pool is practically empty. Tonight turned out to be the perfect night for this since we had already seen the evening show earlier in the day.
At about 5:30 we all got our swim suits on and headed up to deck 11. The crowds had already dispersed.
There was no line for the AquaDunk so the girls rode it as much as they wanted:
We stayed for a couple of hours, swimming and watching Frozen on Funnel Vision. Now this is my kind of pool!
We ate dinner from the quick-service counters and just relaxed. It was a great evening.
We eventually went back to the room and found this guy waiting for us:
I also remembered to take pictures of the beds made up for evening. Our room host, Puri, was awesome and did an amazing job on our room every day.

Ok, I just learned that WDW isn’t carrying pomegranate lemonade, which is our favorite beverage Disney had! I know they had it on cruises at the drink stations. Did you notice if it was still available?
Disney Cruise Mom says
They had it on this cruise, and also on the Wonder in May. I hope they don’t get rid of it – I love it too!

Really like the Murphy bed. Read somewhere they are adding more such beds to staterooms on the Wonder. Hope so.
