Day 5: At Sea
We ordered hot breakfast from room service again. I scaled way back on my order! Especially since we were just feeding the kids. After they ate, we dropped them at kids club and reminded them to eat lunch when they serve it! We then headed back to Palo for brunch. It was amazing! We had plenty of time for our meal, but I still felt like it took a long time. I guess I’m just so used to having to eat fast because we have 3 little ones, that 2 hours for a meal seems excessive. I’m sure when the kids are older I’ll appreciate it more!
We got one complimentary bellini or bloody mary. I got a peach bellini and one of our friends got a bloody mary. It was pretty amazing!
The menu:
Here are some videos of the buffet:
Here are both of our plates from the buffet. It was all delicious, but I LOVED the truffle deviled eggs!
Our waiter brought us a sausage pizza and a goat cheese and sundried tomato pizza. Both were excellent.
We were pretty full and didn’t need to order anything else off the menu, but of course we did.
Zucchini frittata – just ok. I thought it was a little bland.
Strawberry waffles – delicious:
We were so full at this point we decided to share dessert. This is the tiramisu, fruit with champagne jello, a nutella puff pastry and a cannoli. All delicious!
We all decided that while we enjoyed dinner at Palo, brunch was far superior and we would do it again every time if we can!
“After brunch, my husband and I headed to the spa. I had booked the “Ultimate Indulgence” in one of the private suites. It was a foot spa, facial and massage. My husband had never had a facial before, but he really enjoyed it. The whole appointment was amazing!
We had told the kids if they could stay in kids club all morning, we would take them to the shops and let them pick something out. So when we picked them up, we headed straight to the shops. They browsed forever! Our daughter chose a Rapunzel doll, our middle got a Spiderman and our oldest got the bucket of soldiers from Toy Story. After this, the kids said they were hungry, so we headed up to the concierge lounge for a snack and coffee from the fancy coffee maker.
While we were there, they gave me an ipad to look over all our photos we had taken. I had prepurchased the digital photo package for this cruise. Last time I spent so much on 5 pictures I just decided to go all in this time. Especially since our little one is so into Minnie and princesses, I knew there would be more pictures I would want this year! We then went back to the room to hang out and get ready for dinner.
We were back at Tiana’s Place again tonight.
Porcini Sacchetti – I love this dish!
Sesame Crusted Tuna Sashimi – good:
Malaysian chicken satay – ok:
Lobster Bisque – delicious:
Dill and lemon marinated shrimp salad – good:
Grilled Garlic Marinated shrimp pasta – delicious:
Roasted filet of beef wellington – good:
I forgot to take a picture of the desert menu and for the life of me I can’t remember what these desserts were called.
The chocolate one was ok:
The crepes were good:
Our daughter took a little nap at the table!
Our oldest went to the kids club after dinner, but the other two decided to stay with us. We picked our oldest up for the show. I did our placeholder for the next cruise while they found seats. After the craziness of Frozen last night, we didn’t want to be fighting for seats. I got done very quickly and found them in the theater. We had time, so my husband ran up to the concierge lounge for popcorn and drinks. The show was Disney Dreams. It was so cute. The Lion King projections on the walls were awesome.
Our oldest wanted to go to the kids club one last time, so we dropped him off and the rest of us went back to the room to pack. I got our bags done just in time and set out right at 10:30. The little kids were tired, so they went to sleep. I ran up and grabbed our oldest from the Oceaneer’s Club and turned in all of their wrist bands. We didn’t want to pay $12.95 each for them. He wanted to go look at the gift shop one last time, so we did that on our way back to the room.
I finally got him in bed. He just didn’t want our last day to end! My husband and I somehow never had a mickey bar, so we decided to order room service! We ordered fries (they are delicious) and two Mickey Bars. We finished up packing our carry-ons and went to bed.
Our last towel animal of the trip was a rabbit.
