I first heard about Disneybounding when a friend of mine did it at Disney World with her 4 daughters and I immediately loved the idea. Here is a definition I found online:
Disneybound
[diz-nee-bound]
verb (used without object), Disneybounded, Disneybounding.
1. pick a character you want to portray and model an outfit using certain color pallets and accessories.
We have since done it on our last 2 cruises and it is now a tradition of ours the day we board the ship. A quick Google search will turn up hundreds of ideas and examples of Disneybounding outfits if you would like some inspiration. I love that we can use stuff we already own, and it is a fun way for us to get our vacation started. Here are some pictures of what we have done:
Note the clear shoes/glass slippers:
I didn’t remember to get a picture with me in it the first time (I was dressed as Jasmine), and you can barely see my Ariel outfit here. I had flip flops and a headband with jeweled starfish on them, and my middle daughter (Rapunzel) had flowers in her hair that you can barely see here:
For our most recent cruise (trip report here), we recycled 2 of the outfits due to lack of time to plan/pack but added a new Elsa one which included a snowflake necklace:
You can’t really see the necklace in this picture, but it looked like this:
We have a lot of fun planning our outfits and which characters we are going to be. Here are a few ideas that I came up with:
If you have Disneybound before, I would love to see pictures!
