Thank you SO MUCH for posting your Navigators. We leave on the Disney Wonder tomorrow on the Bahamas itinerary. This is our 1st Disney cruise so I have been trying to get as much inside scoop as possible. Our shore days and sea days match up exactly with your trip so I am hoping the a lot of the Navigator info will be repeated.
Quick question– did you get tickets for any “special events”? I saw where to pick up tickets for a Frozen meet & greet, character breakfast and princess time. We have 3 girls like yourself and are interested in trying to secure tickets to some of those activities.

Since we sailed concierge, they pulled the tickets for us but they can be obtained at either the guest services or port adventures desk. I would start at guest services (go straight there once you board) and see if they have them all or if they send you to port adventures (right next door). The things that I am aware of on our cruise that required tickets were: Princess gathering (we had Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel, and Ariel), Frozen meet & greet (Anna, Elsa, & Olaf), character breakfast (I didn’t go but heard that at least Mickey, Doc McStuffins, Jake, and Sofia were there), and the gingerbread house event (1 house per family). Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Just read your 10 things you were glad you did on your 1st Disney cruise post. I wish I had found your blog sooner! I stumbled across it googling for the Navigators yesterday when you had just posted them.
I am also going to try and get a Palo brunch reservation once we board. Castaway Cay cabanas and Palo brunch were not even an option since we only got to start booking 90 days out.
Also, the picture of your luggage made me laugh but that is always what it looks like traveling with a family of 5!
I would be curious if you have used 2 Staterooms rather than Concierge level Suite before? We have 2 rooms booked because it was MUCH cheaper (I think $2,500-$3,000). I assume you think the extra cost/amenities are worth it.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the blog! We have never used 2 staterooms before but we are seriously considering it when/if we sail Alaska or the Panama Canal because those concierge prices just about make me fall off my chair. Whether or not the extra money for concierge is “worth it” is such a subjective topic. Everyone has different vacation styles & expectations so some people think it is worth the money while others think it is not. My advice is this: if you can spend the extra money and not even think/worry about it, than do it because it is an incredible experience. If you are constantly going to be second guessing yourself and worrying if you are spending that extra money wisely then don’t do it – you will still have an incredible cruise. For your particular cruise, the main (not all) concierge benefits that I can think of are these: Cabana at CC, your choice of Palo brunch/dinner times, your choice of DCL excursions/times, your choice of dining time even if it is “full” online, automatic private dinner table (meaning no tablemates), private check in line/area at port (not that big of a deal to me), being one of the first on the ship (may seem like a big deal your first time, but in hindsight isn’t really), concierge reception upon boarding (free drinks, appetizers, host will hand you a folder with personalized itinerary, tickets to all ticketed events, ask you if you have any special requests, sign up kids for the club, etc), private concierge reception later in the week (with a character appearance, food & drinks), free non-alcoholic coffee/smoothies from Cove Cafe, concierge reception every evening (5-6 and 7:30-8:30) with free drinks and apps), a host you can call at anytime from 8 am to 10 pm with any reasonable request, iPads/gaming systems you can borrow for your room, 100 “free” MB of internet, the ability to order any meal to your room from the main dining rooms during their operating hours (we do this for breakfast every morning and LOVE it!). I know there are more but these are the main ones I can think of right now. Hope this helps!
